According to an article published on AndroidAuthority.com, Airpush surpassed 10,000 Android Applications. Developers using Airpush to monetize and distribute their Android applications seem to be quite satisfied with the SDK, showing a growth of over 20% per week.

Airpush converts into substantial earnings for Android apps developers. In October, the range of CPM reached over $12 – a lot higher than other ad networks, including Admob. We don’t need to mention the huge benefit this vertical growth is having on young generations and their programming skills. Certainly Airpush constitutes a big incentive to apps programming.

With over 500 developer registrations per day, Airpush is a growing community that may soon monopolize the mobile ad industry. We’ll see what happens next.

SEO has a great engaging potential: it can brings people together and turn simple techniques into success, especially when combined with the use Social Media. Even so, there is so much room for mistake, and most webmasters assume behaviors that put them at risk of seeing their efforts go to waste.

Think of a good movie. What does make it—well, good?

A Good Movie Is Entertaining

A good movie is like an interesting book, a sports you like playing, or a videogame on a macbook air computer. In two words: it’s fun. For some unknown reason, SEO is hardly fun, interesting or adventurous —many webmasters believe SEO is nothing but a bunch of optimization techniques to splatter together to improve a website ranks.

Nothing could be wronger—if you don’t feel involved in your SEO campaign, your strategy is likely to fail, or to work partially at most.

Also, your SEO strategies should turn out to be fun for your visitors too: your site should not only be a big pot filled with a SEO soup, but an interesting place for your visitors to spend a pleasant time on. Hence, provide linkware freebies, a good and clean design, a message board and fun tips and content. All of these measures will engage your visitors and enhance SEO benefits.

A Good Movie Is Well Plotted

A good movie is well plotted, the story works and makes spectators feel like a part of it. Well—a good SEO campaign should present the same characteristics: a well-thought plan before techniques, a strategy that takes in consideration the pros and cons of every action and takes responsibility, and a webmaster that makes site visitors feel the center of their interests, not just mere Search Engine rankings.

A Good Movie Has All-Round Characters

A good movie tells a story, and a good story is built on all-round characters. When you do SEO, your characters are your techniques: keep them fresh, engaging to visitors, non-spammy, dynamic —you must follow SEs changes closely and adapt your techniques. Your SEO must be alive and kicking at any time, not just when things go smooth.

A Good Movie Stays In Your Heart Forever

A good movie is hardly forgotten. Often, its success stays alive for decades, it passes to new generations, it gives life to movements of thought and fan communities. How can SEO turn your site into an everlasting success?

1. Make Good Use of Social Media. Visitors/readers seek feedback and appreciation. Give them, and they will love you!

2. Keep a Natural Link Profile. Google and other SEs love non-obsessive backlink profiles. Don’t develop a mania for dofollow links, but seek for good content to link, comment on, participate in.

3. Take a Habit to Think Over Your Actions. SEO is not about blind application of techniques, it’s about well-thought strategies and a response to your site needs. Ask yourself often: What does my site need now?, Should I promote it more on Social Media?, Should I engage my readers more?, Can I develop a set of freebie to gain my readers’ loyalty?

There is all to earn and pretty much nothing to loose. YOU are the only one who can turn your site into a success.

Planning your SEM (Search Engine Marketing) strategy can require time and in-depth analysis, sometimes money too, but nothing is wasted if your plan is drawn up carefully, your actions well-thought.

In this post I want to point at 6 SEM factors you need to keep in mind to succeed.

1. What type of advertising strategy?

Whom are your products or services targeted to? What are the interests, preferences, language of your target audience? These questions are crucial, and they constitute the first step in planning an effective advertising strategy. Remember that untargeted advertising may receive more clicks, more views, but very little or no conversion.

2. Should I use Social Media Marketing?

I suggest you do. Social Media has seen a boom over the last three years, many companies found out products sell better when they get in touch with potential and returning customers and that news about your services spread faster over the globe. And yes, your company blog gains better SE positions. See how far search engine marketing in the Middle East has gone.

3. B2B or B2C?

Your strategy must take this difference in consideration. I mentioned a target audience earlier in this post, and well, this is another angle to think about: B2B requires more professionalism, more to-the-point facts and less advertising than B2C, because companies look for specific products and services and are less keen to spend time reading advertorials.

4. How should I manage Keyword Visibility?

Pick your relevant keywords and stick with them. Connect them to your company website and share them on Social Media, discussion forums, signatures, business cards, AdWords and AdSense campaigns. Remember to pick keywords with the least competition possible, so that they will end up characterizing your company.

5. How should I attract new customers?

Create Social Media profiles and share your products and services to potentially interested users (Social Media allow for interest-based user search). Be careful to keep it relevant, never make it sound as spam.

6. How can I keep returning customers?

Engage on Social Media conversations. Returning customers are particularly sensitive to companies’s feedback after they make a purchase from them, and feedback from the company may quicken a fidelization of the customer.

An example infographics, involving Social Media, Email and Keyword Marketing:

In a technology driven world, where everything seems possible and boundless, law comes in to put restrictions and regulate human behavior —as with every human activity, I could add. No surprises there.

Internet marketing has technology and its derivatives at its very core —every time you hear about digital products, e-book marketing, Creative Commons, copyright ‘Fair use’ —that’s exactly what we are speaking about.

An international technology law exists to help maintaining the technology and digital products marketplace fair for everybody.

Following are a few sample cases in form of Q & A:

Who owns the intellectual property of software developed under commission?
If we’re speaking about “work for hire”, then the commissioner holds full ownership under the U.S. law. When, for example, a company commissions a team of developers to create, code and maintain software, and the client pays for it, then the client holds full ownership of the software produced.

And who owns the intellectual property of software that is produced then sold via traditional or digital marketing canals?
In that case, the programmer/developer/software house will retain full intellectual property, as the product is made and immediately sold as is by the developer(s), without commissioners.

When is technology use ‘Fair Use’?
The concept of ‘Fair Use’ is broad enough not to allow for a blog post to hold it all, but if you think about commentaries, reviews, educational purposes… than that is fair use. In all other cases, author’s permission must be obtained —which is advisable in any case, as different authors may see ‘Fair Use’ different ways.

Should I apply proprietary license to my software or I should opt for a GPL, Creative Commons, AFFERO license?
That decision depends on your needs, on what you do want the public to know about your software and what use they can do of it. If you seek community development and free distribution, I suggest applying a GPL license.

I suggest looking more into the topic on http://www.internet-law-library.com, quality resource for anything law-related in the Web world.

It’s called Organic SEO, like those bio vegetables you buy at the grocery shop and that everybody loves because they are tasty and healthy.

Why organic SEO?

There, keywords are up there: tasty and healthy.

Tasty SEO

If you think of SEO as a mere group of techniques to improve your Search Engine rank, you fall into a pit. SEO can no longer be looked after as an aggressive manipulation of Search Engines and their power: Search Engines need be handled with care, attention to detail, experiences and a lot of ‘cuddles’.

Think of organic vegetables and fruit: you grow them with love, take care of them, give them proper time to grow and multiplies.

Same goes for organic SEO: it’s organic because it has a life of its own, it grows at its own rhythm and eventually rewards its caretakers (the SEOs and, obviously, their clients) with a tasty meal (the results).

Healthy SEO

By applying Black Hat SEO techniques to your or your clients’ websites, you are contaminating them with pesticides. You know, chemical agents can kill good vegetables and fruit when administered massively with aggressiveness.

You of course don’t want this to happen to your client’s website. Or to yours.

Black Hat SEO is the equivalent of a pesticide or a chemical agent: it works at first, but it produces damage in the long run. Forcing the nature of things is always counterproductive: your first, massive results will end up nullified in weeks (or worse —days) of time.

Do you want this to happen? No?

Then keep your SEO healthy.

Engage in Social Media conversations; grow trust in your client or yourself by leaving consistent, reliable feedback; make your customers’ needs YOUR needs. Eventually, build a community for them to feel loved and appreciated.

Real results come in the long run, and will come with all their instrinsic power. You’ll see.

Jon from LocalSEO.org has provided this post and he is going to explain about Googlebot and how it works to find and rank your website.

Googlebot is Google’s site crawling robot; it finds pages on the web and passes them off to the Google Algorithm for processing. In reality Googlebot doesn’t crawl the web at all. It works like a web browser, it sends a request to a server for a web page, downloads the whole page, and then moves on to the next page.

Googlebot consists of numerous computers requesting and fetching pages faster than you can with your web browser. In fact, Googlebot can request thousands of different pages in chorus. To evade overpowering web servers, or crowding out requests from human users, Googlebot intentionally makes requests of each individual web server slower than its capacity.

How it works?

While Googlebot fetches a page, it weeds out all the links appearing on the page and adds them only to what it considers are high-quality pages. By harvesting links from every page it encounters, Googlebot can rapidly make a list of links that can cover the web. This method, known as deep crawling, also allows Googlebot to search deep within individual sites. Due to their massive size, deep crawls can reach more or less every page online. Because the web is enormous this process can take some time, so some pages may be crawled only once a month.

Googlebot was intended to be distributed on several (thousands) of machines to improve performance and scale as the web grows. Also, to cut down on bandwidth usage, they run numerous crawlers on machines located near the sites they’re indexing in the network. As a result, your logs may show visits from quite a few machines at google.com, all with the user-agent Googlebot. The goal is to crawl as many pages from a site as possible on each visit without overwhelming the user’s server bandwidth.

Even though its purpose is simple, Googlebot must be programmed to handle several challenges. First, since Googlebot sends out real-time requests for thousands of pages, the queue of “visit soon” URLs must be constantly examined and compared with URLs already in Google’s index. Duplicates in the queue must be purged to avoid Googlebot fetching the same page again. Googlebot must decide how frequently to re-examine a page. On one hand, it’s a waste of resources to re-index an untouched page. On the other hand, Google wants to re-index altered pages to deliver up-to-date results.

Googlebot shouldn’t access a site more than once every few seconds. However, due to network delays, it’s possible that the rate will appear to be slightly higher over short periods. In general, Googlebot ought to download only one duplicate of each page at a time. If you see that Googlebot is downloading a page multiple times, it’s probably because the crawler was stopped and restarted.

Versions of Google Bot:
Googlebot has two versions namely Deepbot and Freshbot:

Freshbot:
Freshbot crawls the website and looks for fresh content. Freshbot visit the website that frequently change, depending on how often.

Deepbot:
Deepbot tries to follow every link on a website and download as many pages as possible of your website. This process will be completed about once a month. But, may be slower if your site is stagnant and not often updated.

Now that you have a great basic understanding of what Googlebot is and how it works it is important to make the most of this situation. For example, knowing that Freshbot exists it would be a very good idea to update your site frequently so that Google sends Freshbot your way. All things equal a site that is updated more often will be ranked higher than one that isn’t touched by its owner. So, start updating your site with high quality fresh content and Google will reward you.

As most webmasters and bloggers already know, you can have the absolute best content in the world, but in nobody reads it, what good is it? Therefore, we have all had to learn the grueling work of SEO and marketing. Yeah… I love it too. So, when you are out in the world of bloggers, what are some of the things you are doing to gain rankings to your quality blog posts? Related blog commenting? Article writing? Creating web 2.0 pages with backlinks? Those are all good things, as we know, but what many people don’t realize is how much money they are leaving on the table. Wait… what?

That’s right. When you are creating web 2.0 pages… do you monetize them? Most people are out looking for one thing and one thing only, backlinks. They aren’t concerned with all that other stuff, but there is a reason that these web 2.0 pages hold so much weight and that’s because they are popular and they have a huge potential for many eyes to read the pages. So, why not put some affiliate offers or Google Adsense into the web 2.0 pages? Sounds like a good idea to me.

Let’s think about it for a minute. You are out creating backlinks, including many types, so that is the main purpose of your campaign. So, in thinking logically about it, if you do indeed input affiliate offers or Adsense into the web 2.0 sites, and make a couple sales or get some Adsense clicks, you are extremely happy about it mainly because this is not something you were expecting. It’s almost like a bonus of sorts. In the end, even if you don’t get any affiliate sales or commissions, nor get any Adsense clicks, did you really lose anything? The answer is no. You still get what you set out for initially and that is the quality backlinks to your main site from the same different types of sites like blog comments, forum links, article directories and web 2.0 sites, but you at least have a chance to make a few bucks off of the web 2.0 sites. It might have cost you a whole five minutes. Now, you can’t monetize all of your backlinks, obviously, but those that allow it (web 2.0 sites), you should.

The fact is, there are so many people already making affiliate money from places like Squidoo and Hubpages. That means it is ultimately possible for you as well. It’s kind of like getting two birds with one stone. You don’t lose anything, you get what you are after in a link back, and you have the potential for some extra cash. So the lesson today is not to forget that you should always monetize when you are marketing, wherever it is possible. Good luck!

There is still a lot of work to get done to make N0t.info get back to its old PR2, but one thing at a time: content first, from myself and my guest bloggers; then a good amount of genuine backlinks from my commenting activity on other interesting SEO and marketing blogs, parterships and forum backlinks. Oh, let’s not forget about social media activity, which converted into a lot of targeted traffic this month. Thank you, guys, for visiting N0t.info and making it grow.

I have two important articles in drafts, one regarding the changes Google Panda brought to the SEO world, the other touching a more creative topic. Check back on the first week of July to see them coming live.
